Residential sewage grinder pump systems take the wastewater from your home, grind up any solids that could clog your pipes, and pump the slurry to another location.

Sewage ejector pumps are usually located in the basement or lower floor of a home and will pump the wastewater slurry from a basement to the house’s gravity sewer lines or to a grinder pump station that will then send transport your wastewater away from your home. This allows for water usage in a below ground location that would not be able to be served by gravity sewer lines.

Some sewer grinder pump stations serve the whole house or even several houses, condos, or duplexes and are part of a low pressure sewer system where several sewage grinder pumps are connected to the same low pressure pipes before connecting to a gravity sewer main or directly to a treatment facility.
